Hi! My name is Star Dintino, and my pronouns are he/they. I am a multi-disciplinary apparel designer with experience across childrenswear, legwear, hosiery, intimates, and knits. My personal design ethos is rooted in the belief that the clothes we wear shape the reality we live in—and that design is a generative force for creating change in both individuals’ lives and the world at large.

As a professional designer, I excel at identifying client and customer needs, making informed design decisions based on market trends, and creating innovative assortments that fit specific lifestyles. My expertise includes crafting compelling inspiration and research boards, advanced CAD sketching in Adobe Illustrator, a refined sense of color and print, deep knowledge of garment construction and tech pack creation, and the ability to design beyond my personal aesthetic to reach a wide range of consumers.

As the design space continues to shift in the world of online retail and blurring of gender categories, I approach every project with the mindset of inclusivity. Fashion no longer centers around an exclusive, unattainable image, but rather, accessible designs for every single body. As a queer designer, my personal work lives outside of any gender category. In a world where we can be anything, I want to invite all people to think critically and creatively about how they take up space in their own daily lives, and how they can most authentically express themselves. who are we when we break out of our assigned roles?
